How to use CAMS devices

Using a CAMS device is quick and easy. Your TensCam/RJV JrRJV-TensCam, Handheld LaserCam or Personal Tuner II comes with instructions for setting up and powering on the machine. Please follow those directions to activate your CAMS device.

When the machine is turned on, you will see a flashing light-emitting diode (LED) on the end of the transducer, indicating that the machine is in operation.

The TensCam/RJV Jr and RJV-Tenscam come with a tripod stand to aid in treating virtually any area of the body.

Once you have positioned the CAMS unit:

  1. Turn on the CAMS device.
  2. Visualize the problem area and exhale forcefully through your nose with the intent to heal. This programs your CAMS unit.

There are 2 ways to use a CAMS unit

1. Original treatment mode.
Position the CAMS unit 18-24 inches from the area of the body you wish to treat. Original-mode treatments take only:

  • 10-15 seconds with the Handheld LaserCam.
  • Two minute with the RJV-TensCam.
  • Two minutes with the TensCam/RJV Jr and Personal Tuner.

For information on longer treatments, please see Using CAMS in clinical practice. Do not administer more than one Original-mode treatment per day to a given area.

2. Blue Light antimicrobial treatment mode.

Position the CAMS unit 3/8” from the area of the body you wish to treat. Blue-Light mode treatments take two minutes with any of the five CAMS models.

If you think you are treating an infection with the Blue-Light mode, treat the area every four to six hours. If you see no improvement in 24 hours, contact your physician for advice. For more information, see CAMS Blue Light.
